Smart Brains for excellent research

Over 300 scientists are working together at four locations within Schleswig-Holstein to advance inflammation research for the Cluster of Excellence “Inflammation at Interfaces” (I@I). Professional training, personal development and individual career prospects for young scientists help to form a sustainable environment for excellent research on a gender-equal basis and this is therefore one of the Cluster’s primary goals.

In addition to personal excellence, scientific careers also rely on personal development opportunities in a supportive and motivating environment. The Cluster therefore highlights individual training opportunities by the host institutions and organises additional specific supplements as a stepping-stone for an academic career.
