As part of its public relations work, the Excellence Cluster places particular emphasis on making contact with school students and inspiring them about research. For this reason, the Cluster and its members support various services for school students.
Lübeck‘s Open Laboratory "LOLA" at the University of Lübeck
Lübeck‘s Open Laboratory "LOLA" offers school students and school classes the opportunity to sample modern life sciences and chemistry in practical and understandable ways. Within the scope of a collaborative agreement, the Excellence Cluster supports LOLA actively and financially, and is involved in establishing the course “Mechanisms of Inflammatory Processes”.
The Research and School Program “FuSch” (Forschung und Schule) of the Research Center Borstel
The Research Center Borstel offers, in close cooperation with various schools in the region, courses in physiology, biochemistry and genetics.
