DFG funds Research Training Group “Genes, Environment and Inflammation”
The German Research Foundation (DFG) funds the Research Training Group “Genes, Environment and Inflammation” as a collaberation of Kiel University (CAU) and the University of Lübeck
14 November 2011: Approximately 2.4 million for graduate education. More than 80 percent of chronic inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s disease can be attributed to environmental factors. Which factors besides genetic predisposition trigger or benefit the diseases will be investigated in the future by the scientists of the Research Training Group “Genes, Environment and Inflammation”. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is funding the association of Kiel University with the University of Lübeck beginning October next year with around 2.4 million Euros. The spokesperson for the future Research Training Group is Professor Andre Franke of the Institute for Clinical Molecular Biology at Kiel University.
